The excitment begins!

We're all here safe and sound. BIG SURPRISE for all of us..... as we showed up in Delhi. Along with the 33 origional team memers for this OneSight Clinic we welcomed 15 of the Luxottica Executive leadership team including Andrea Guerra. For most of us this was an exceptional treat since it was the first time meating them. At orientation we went over the importance and purpose for this clinic and met our clinic partners, went over the flow of the clinic, and began our journey of developing new friendships. We all trained a little on the autorefractor and how to use the computer program designed for the selcection process, how to take visual accuity's, and how to put frame and lenses together. We are all very excited and ready to get to it. Tonight we will get a great nights sleep and start early tomorrow doing our part to help the world see clearly.

India! Here we come!

Travel with us, your 2009 OneSight Team, to Rajasthan, India where we will be spending the next two weeks providing eye exams and recycled glasses to thousands of India natives who could not otherwise see the world clearly. Our team of volunteers and doctors from the United States, Italy, Canada and Spain invite you to travel with us virtually by visiting our blog daily where we will be posting highlights from our vision care clinic. We will land in Delhi Nov 8th and travel to Jodhpur, Rajasthan for our stay in India's Water Habitat Retreat, a converted Palace in the Aravali hills of Jodhpur. We will post photos and messages including stories about our recipients, our team experience, and even a little about India itself.
